Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders of Alabama is proud to be in partnership with Children's Harbor on beautiful Lake Martin in Alexander City, Alabama.
Children's Harbor is the host for Camp Clot Not, our week-long summer camp program for children throughout Alabama who are affected with a bleeding disorder. Camp Clot Not was designed for these children to learn more about their disorder, encourage them to become independent in their care, empower them with knowledge to become self-advocates, and to build life-long friendships with others in the bleeding disorders community.
In addition to the educational component, Camp Clot Not is a week-long adventure filled with fun activities that help to encourage healthy lifestyles and promote team-building skills. Some of the activities that our youth enjoy while attending Camp Clot Not are; fishing, archery, canoeing, putt putt golf, arts & crafts, team relays, boating & tubing, swimming, and much more.
There are daily educational sessions led by clinical professionals who are familiar with bleeding disorders and the effects that this disorder has on its patients.
