JARED MCLAUGHLIN

Jared McLaughlin grew up in Wetumpka, AL. After graduating from High School in 1999, he served a two year mission for his church in Rio De Janiero, Brazil, speaking Portuguese. Following his mission he played Division I football at Brigham Young University as a place kicker setting several records. Jared has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering as well as minors in Math and Portuguese. He has worked in the private consulting world as a licensed Civil Engineer and currently works for the Montgomery Water Works and Sanitary Sewer Board on the engineering staff. As sports have taken a back seat in his life, family and faith have become his focus. While in college Jared met his best friend, Jeannie, from Malad, ID, and they were married in 2004. Jared and Jeannie have five children – Jace, Mallory, Porter, Levi, and Maxwell. Porter, Levi and Maxwell all have hemophilia B severe. HBDA has been an invaluable resource by providing education, tools and confidence to navigate the journey of hemophilia. It is an organization we are grateful and proud to be a part of.
